My work is made entirely by hand using slab and modelling techniques. I use a number of clay bodies for the animals including Earthstone ES 5, ES 20 and ES 75 .For some of the pieces I add fibre to the clay to give more strength at greenware. The work is decorated using a combination of body slip, high temperature stains and metal oxides and fired to stoneware in a top loading electric kiln (Northern Kilns). Some of the pieces are mounted on mild steel stands.
