HANDBUILDING COURSES 2012

I run a number of figurative ceramics courses each year from April - September with a maximum of 7 places on each course

The courses are designed to teach you hand building, modelling & sculpting skills and are suitable for adults of all ability levels from complete beginner onwards.  

Courses includes step-by-step demos, group & individual exercises, project work and 1:1 coaching. Answers to your questions, hands-on help, positive critique and motivation will be on tap throughout each day!

Arrive with your own ideas or be inspired by a studio & gallery full of resource material; go with the flow or work to your own pace - the choice is yours! The teaching day runs from 9.30am to 5pm and for those who like to work on, or come back after a break, the studio is left open until 9pm.

If you're looking for somewhere to stay we can offer you comfortable B&B (together with your non-potting partner if required) or there's a wealth of alternative accommodation nearby including camping & caravan sites, a camping barn and self catering cottages.

The Eden Valley in north Cumbria is a beautiful & quiet area with great opportunities for hiking, cycling, golf, sketching and fishing. The Lake District National Park is 20 minutes drive away.
